Afternoon Tea

An outdoor afternoon tea table

Afternoon Tea, a delightful custom occurring between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. An in-between meal of delicate finger sandwiches and irresistible scones, savory bites and sweet treats, and, of course, perfectly brewed tea.

An hour that bridges the distance between breakfast and dinner.

Henry James once said in The Portrait of a Lady:

“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”
