Top Performing Social Media Apps

Staying socially connected is one of the benefits in an often-time solo writing business. The following are social apps in some cases we’ve used for years and other, we’re just learning… and loving.

If you haven’t checked out some of these apps, they’re all free, extremely informative and fun to use. We’d love it if you followed us on:

FlipBoard

One of our newest finds, although they’ve been around for a while. I began seeing referrals on our analytics data and decided to check them out.

I love FlipBoard. Whether you’re viewing them on desktop or mobile, each application is different and easy to navigate, inspiring to read.

The premise is to create “magazines” which are simply curated articles that appear as “Cover Stores” on their home page. You can “flip” them into magazines you create, either by category or source.

We’re still learning the ropes, but loving what we see!

Yummly

31Daily is a new publisher on Yummly, an amazing dedicated food app. We love the inspiration, the convenience and easy navigation on this app. We are consistently receiving referrals from Yummly and is one of our favorite new apps.

Pinterest

Inspiration? Ideas? Recipes? A complete resource — and an app that I would never want to add up my hours using. Oh my goodness, collecting beautiful information is what I love and Pinterest, of course, does it so well.

Incomparable!

As with any social media, the more you participate, the more you benefit. One service that helps service our pins is BoardBooster.  For as little as $5 a month, they can come along side and help maintain your boards. An invaluable tool!

Facebook

I love connecting with readers in any way I can but Facebook provides such a unique opportunity to interact and develop connections.

Our friends on Facebook grow nearly every day and I’m thrilled to meet new friends and add readers to our blog.

Sharing newly written articles, thoughts, ideas, resources is incredibly easy on Facebook that nothing really comes close to this app for connectivity.

Instagram

My morning activity, every morning, is to peruse beautiful images from Instagram, “heart” or like my favorites, follow some friends and share the best of what 31Daily creates.

We’d love to connect with you on Instagram!

Google+

An app I really love although we have the fewest connections here. It’s incredibly easy to navitage, yet easy to find information and even easier to share. But one would imagine that being Google and all!
