2 Minute Christmas Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of salt
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- You will need a microwave-safe mug that is 12 to 14 ounces.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract; continue whisking until fully combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared mug and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, the center of the cake should be just set. In my microwave (1100 watts) it takes about 75 seconds. But all microwaves are different. I recommend cooking for 1 minute and then testing the cake.
- Remove the mug from the microwave and let cool for a few minutes. Top with whipped cream, crushed candy cane, sprinkles... whatever you have on hand that is Christmasy and festive. Enjoy!
