Brownie Mix Mason Jar Food Gifts

Surprise your favorite people with a quick and easy homemade gift from your kitchen. This brownie mix is a delicious cakey and fudgy brownie everyone will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant espresso powder completely optional but delicious as it helps elevate the chocolate flavor
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, salt (and espresso powder if using).
  • Add the brownie mix to a quart-size mason jar using a funnel for easy transfer. Top with chocolate chips, (1/2 cup of chopped nuts if desired) and secure the lid.

Brownie Recipe:

  • Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted,
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease or coat an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray. Add the brownie mix to a large bowl, stir in melted butter, beaten eggs, water, and vanilla until combined. Transfer batter to the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
