Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside. Then pop the popcorn. If using microwave popcorn, follow package instructions for popping.
In a large dutch oven, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the mini marshmallows until completely melted. Quickly add the popped popcorn and continue stirring until the marshmallows are melted and become “cobwebby.” Then stir in your favorite candy and nuts.
Immediately transfer the popcorn mixture into the prepared baking pan. Using the back of a spatula or spoon, compress popcorn firmly into the pan until it sticks together. Allow the popcorn to cool and completely set. I like to refrigerate the popcorn to speed up this process; about 15 to 20 minutes.
Insert a lollipop stick in the squares for fun.
