Easy Foil Wrapped Salmon in Lime Garlic Butter Sauce
This EasyFoil Wrapped Salmon in Lime Garlic Butter Sauce is one of our favorite ways to enjoy salmon. And my favorite way to make it! Crusty and tasty on the outside and so tender and deliciously flaky on the inside.
Preheat oven to 400°F or prepare a grill to medium.
Line a baking sheet with foil coated with non-stick cooking spray. Lay salmon fillet in the middle of the foil.
Combine melted butter, garlic, lime juice and zest, parsley, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Spoon mixture onto the salmon, spreading it evenly over its surface.
Enclose the salmon and 1 lime, halved, in foil. To make a packet with your foil, I like to take 2 sheets of foil (a top and bottom layer) and crimp the edges together forming a seal.
Oven Method
Bake salmon for 15 minutes until mostly cooked. Adjust this time depending on the thickness of the salmon. Remove from the oven and carefully peal back the foil to expose the salmon. Return the salmon to the oven and broil for another 3-4 minutes or until it begins to brown on the top.
Grill Method
Transfer the foil wrapped salmon to the grill and cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes (depending on the thickness of the salmon). Carefully peal back the foil so the salmon is exposed and continue to cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
