Combine the ground turkey, spinach, red onion, feta, dill, oregano, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix until the ingredients are well combined.
Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
Prepare the grill or heat a large nonstick or cast iron skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. When hot, grill the burgers until cooked through with an internal temperature of at least 165°F. This takes about 5 minutes per side.
Serving
To serve, add each patty to a bun or lettuce wrap, top with 2 to 3 tablespoons of Tzatziki Sauce along with thinly sliced cucumbers and a slice of tomato.
Notes
Ground turkey: Use lean ground turkey, but avoid extra-lean varieties, which can make the burgers dry.
Mix gently: Combine the ingredients just until mixed to keep the burgers tender.
Cooking method: These burgers can be cooked on a grill pan, outdoor grill, or skillet.
Doneness: Turkey burgers are fully cooked when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
Make-ahead: Burger patties may be formed up to one day in advance and refrigerated until ready to cook.
Freezing: Uncooked patties freeze well for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
