Instructions
Prepare an indoor or outdoor grill over medium heat and lightly oil the grates.
Break up pieces of ground chicken and add to a medium bowl. Then add the onions, cilantro, cumin, paprika, cheddar cheese, salt and black pepper. Evenly incorporate the ingredients, but be careful not to overmix the ground chicken.
Form into four ½ inch-thick patties. Grill burgers over medium heat until cooked through, 5-7 minutes per side.
Serve each patty in a burger bun topped with your favorite toppings. We love guacamole and sour cream.
Notes
Pro Tip—Make a Firm Patty: Chicken burgers can fall apart if they are not made into a firm patty.
Pro Tip-- Don't Overmix Ground Chicken: Be careful not to overmix the ground meat. I like to break up the chicken as I add it to a bowl, then add the ingredients and mix together. This helps prevent overmixing, and it's easy!
Grilling: It's great to grill these chicken burgers outdoors, but you can also grill indoors on a grill pan or cast iron skillet.
