This Gingerbread Latte is for all of you who love holiday coffee, this will bring your favorite coffee shop... home. Easy to make, and perfect for the Christmas holidays.
Make the Homemade Gingerbread Syrup: In a medium-size saucepan, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, water, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom.
Over medium heat, bring the syrup to a slow boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes- stirring occasionally.
Transfer the syrup to a jar or another heatproof container. Shake well before each use. Store in the refrigerator.
To Make the Gingerbread Latte: Brew strong coffee or espresso using your favorite method. Into a 12-ounce mug, pour ⅓ cup of coffee or espresso along with 2 tablespoons of the Homemade Gingerbread Syrup.
Froth the milk and pour into the mug until it almost reaches the top. Spoon remaining milk and optional whipping cream over the top. Sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg and enjoy!
