This Honey Sesame Chicken Drumsticks recipe is a quick and easy weeknight meal, not to mention friendly on the budget. Easy to make on the stovetop in about 30 minutes.
In a large nonstick skillet, brown chicken on high for 3-4 minutes. Add water, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, rice wine, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey. Cook on high until the liquid comes to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Remove cover and bring heat to high, allowing the sauce to reduce, about 5-10 minutes, until it becomes thick, turning chicken occasionally. Top with chives and sesame seeds and serve.
Notes
I prefer to removed the skin in this recipe as you're not making it go crispy, if your drumsticks come with it still attached.
