The Sunday Journal: Setting the Easter Table
March 29, 2026
Easter mornings always arrive early at my house. There is ham to prepare, Easter baskets to hide-we always leave scavenger-style clues-and an egg hunt to ready after morning services.
There is something about this day that feels different from other gatherings. It isn't just the menu or the table-it's the meaning we carry into it. A sense of renewal. Of hope. Of beginning again.
Today, we set the Easter table.
Not with perfection in mind, but with intention. A place for family, for tradition, for something warm shared between us. Whether your table is full or small, elaborate or simple, what matters most is the welcome it offers.
This week's Sunday Edit is a gentle guide for the day ahead-ideas on what to cook, how to prepare, and a few simple ways to make it feel special without becoming overwhelming.
Let's begin.
Happy Sunday, dear friends.

The Recipe: Easter Morning
At the center of this table is a dish designed for exactly this kind of day-simple, make-ahead, and ready when you are.

Eggs Benedict Casserole
- Make Ahead: Assemble the night before and refrigerate. Bake in the morning for an easy, stress-free start.
- Why It Works: It brings all the flavors of a classic brunch favorite into one dish-perfect for serving a table without standing at the stove.
For topping, use fresh chives and make this easy and quick hollandaise sauce.
The Lifestyle Edit: Setting the Easter Table
You don't need much to make an Easter table feel special. A few spring flowers, soft linens, and one thoughtful detail-a bowl of eggs, fresh herbs, or citrus-can create a table that feels welcoming without feeling fussy.
- Keep flowers simple (grocery store blooms are perfect)
- Layer neutral linens with your favorite dinnerware
- Add one seasonal detail (colored eggs, fresh herbs, or a beautiful bowl filled with fresh lemon or citrus)
- Bake a beautiful Easter cake and let it become the centerpiece.
Note from Stephanie
Easter has a way of reminding us that simple things matter most.
A table set with care.
A meal shared.
A moment of pause in the midst of busy days.
If you're hosting today, I hope this helps you feel prepared-but more than that, I hope it helps you feel present.
Wishing you a beautiful Easter,
Stephanie
