A Neutral Early Fall
“For this centerpiece, it was actually quite simple despite the amount of pumpkins I used. I started with laying two metal baskets facing each other that I picked up at Marshalls. I filled the baskets with faux craft moss from Michaels & fluffed it up to make it look more natural. I then took pumpkins I had lying around & started them placing them in the baskets. With a little more playing around, it was a simple pumpkin basket centerpiece that would also be a great on a sofa table, buffet, coffee table, & so much more.”
Fall Succulent Planters
“For a super simple, easy fall decor, grab a pumpkin container and make some adorable fall succulent planters!”
Chalk Paint Pumpkins
“Decorate this fall with Vintage Inspired Chalky Paint Pumpkins. The neutral paint colors bring an elegant touch to any home. These beautiful and easy to make pumpkins can be displayed all through fall and until Thanksgiving.”
A Fall Tablescape
“I started each of my place settings with some large children’s encyclopedias that I found at a thrift store years ago for 50 cents. I used them as chargers to add interest and fun texture to the table. I layered my plates with these AllModern linen towels. I love using towels in the place of napkins because they are bigger and so pretty layered with plates (They also come in handy having 3 littles under 5). I added small loafs of homemade bread to each place setting just for fun too.”

“The fall season has always made me feel excited for the opportunity to once again start fresh. Whether it was getting a new box of colored pencils to take with me on the first day of third grade or moving into a college apartment that needed decorated and organized, autumn meant that I could begin again. Even now, many years later, I go into September with a renewed sense of anything being possible because I can start with a clean slate.”
As simple as gathering nature’s nearby bounty in small vignettes.

Simple Fall Arrangements
A simple gathering of leaves and pumpkins creates a stunning fall arrangement.
“I decided to try combining my love of neutrals and white, with a little orange. I lined our couch table that hubby had built with coverless books and inserted some little orange pumpkins in these old domes.”
Preserved Leaf Decor
“As summer turns to fall, leafy trees bedazzle with their vibrant palettes. And collecting these leaves becomes a familiar autumn pastime as we stroll and hike tree-lined paths.”
“Since ancient times, botanicals have been preserved for their beauty and cataloged to identify different specimens. In Victorians days, slipping petals and leaves into a book was a way to remember a special person or occasion. Today, framed botanical collections are found hanging on walls as decorative art in cottages across the country.”
“Since fall is a time when nature dazzles the senses, why not decorate your home with the beautiful bounty surrounding you? Whether it’s an eye-catching display of colorful leaves, harvest-time produce, or complementary accessories, you can easily bring the glories found outdoors right up to your doorstep and beyond.”
