Description
Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars are a decadent treat that thoroughly solves both a chocolate and a peanut butter craving. Easy to make with simple ingredients and a perfect blending of cakey and fudgy texture.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup peanut butter
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups flour
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with parchment or lightly coat with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and granulated sugar. Let mix for several minutes until light and fluffy. Add the brown sugar and mix well. Then add the peanut butter; mix, and while the mixer is still running, add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until completely combined.
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 26 to 32 minutes. Do not overbake as the cookies. Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
