If you love apple crisp or peach crisp, you know how delicious a warm-from-the-oven crisp can be! And how you don't want a season to pass without making at least one!

What I Love About Individual Berry Crisps

Here are my 3 favorite things about this delicious, cozy dessert!

  1. Incredibly easy: There is no need to thaw the berries or even plan ahead for this dessert. It's easy to make any time you're in the mood!
  2. Individually sized: I love that these are made in individual ramekins. Much like mug cakes, there's something special about your own serving!
  3. Adjustable servings: One of the things I love about this recipe is that I can easily make any servings I need.

Individual Berry Crisps Ingredients

Here's what you need to make this oh-so-simple dessert:

For the berry filling:

  • Frozen mixed berries: You can also use a single berry, like blueberries or raspberries.
  • Brown Sugar for warm sweetness
  • Cornstarch to thicken the filling

For the crisp topping

You may have leftovers of this crisp topping. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze it for quick and easy crisps anytime you're in the mood. I love to have some handy in the freezer throughout the year. Here's what you need:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Rolled oats
  • Brown sugar
  • Spices: Ground cinnamon and nutmeg
  • Melted butter

How to Make Individual Berry Crisps

This dessert is simple to scale up or down, meaning you can easily make 6 or 8 servings or scale down to 2 servings. Fill the ramekins with berries according to the number of servings you need.

Here's how to make these easy mini berry crisps: Preheat the oven to 350℉ and lay out a small baking sheet.

Step 1: Make the berry filling

Add the frozen berries, brown sugar, and cornstarch to a mixing bowl. Toss together, and then divide evenly between four 8-ounce ramekins.

Storing Berry Crisp

If you have leftover servings, let it cool completely. Then, cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

How to Serve

Let the berry crisps cool for 15 minutes before serving. They will be quite hot! They are delicious as is, or for an extra delicious touch, top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!

I love this dessert for those days when you're craving something sweet, something filled with berries that you can enjoy warm with melting vanilla ice cream. For me, it's often in the winter when fresh berries are months away, but my freezer is packed!
