Sweet Iced Tea Ingredients
Here’s what you need to make a delicious and thirst-quenching pitcher of Southern Sweet Iced Tea!
- Family-size tea bags
- Granulated sugar
- Water
- Lemon slices (optional)
How to Make Sweet Iced Tea
- In a saucepan, bring 3 cups water to a boil; add tea bags. Boil for 1 minute; remove from heat—cover and steep for 10 minutes.
- Remove and discard tea bags. Add the desired amount of sugar, stirring until dissolved. Pour into a 1-gal. container, and add 7 cups of cold water. Serve over ice.
Peach Iced Tea
For a variation on the traditional sweet tea, try this idea for Peach Iced Tea:
- Prepare using the Southern Sweet Tea recipe with 1/2 cup sugar.
- Stir together with a 46-oz. bottle of peach nectar and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
- Serve over ice.
