Summer and iced tea just belong together. 

This iced tea recipe is a bit different from your usual run of the mill iced tea recipe. A refreshing and delicious combination of a favorite herbal tea along with the bright, citrusy flavor of lemon and the sweet, cooling flavor of mint.

It’s summer in a glass!

And when enjoyed on the porch or surrounded by a summer garden, it’s rather sublime.

Ingredients

  • Peppermint tea bags (I’m using Harney & Sons Peppermint Tea)
  • Honey (you want to use runny honey as it will dissolve better)
  • Lemon juice and slices for serving
  • Fresh mint sprigs for serving

Peppermint Lemon Tea on the Porch

Peppermint Lemon Iced Tea

Yield: 1 quart
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Peppermint Lemon Iced Tea is a beautiful and refreshing summer beverage, lightly sweetened with honey, and made with herbal tea, fresh lemon slices, and mint sprigs.

Ingredients

  • 3 peppermint tea bags
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for serving

Instructions

  1. In a 2-quart pitcher, pour 2 cups of boiling water over peppermint tea bags. Let steep for 4 minutes and discard the tea bags.
  2. Stir the honey and lemon juice into the tea and then 2 cups of cold water and ice to fill the pitcher.
  3. Chill and serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
