Why I Love This Yogurt Mousse

While our 4th of July and Memorial Day celebrations are filled with all of the BBQ, potato salads, and decadent desserts you can imagine, I’m still always looking for healthier options that are still festive and fun.

Enter this simple, 3 ingredient summer berry mousse filled with yogurt and fruit. Much like my Fruit Dip also three ingredients that I love to serve on the 4th of July Snack Board.

But they aren’t just for holidays; they’re perfect all summer, just like the Frozen Yogurt Bark we may all season.

3 Yogurt Mousse Ingredients

What are those three ingredients?

  1. Yogurt
  2. Whipped topping (and this is completely optional)
  3. Fresh berries

And that’s it! The quickest, most festive little desserts you’ll make all summer.

How to Make Yogurt Mousse

First, the topping. You can whip your own sweetened heavy cream… or you can use store-bought whipped cream, like Cool Whip. Or, you can skip the topping altogether. When I’m snacking in the summer, I skip it. For the holidays, it adds a festive touch.

Secondly, the yogurt. You can use plain yogurt drizzled with a bit of honey to taste, or you can buy blueberry and strawberry yogurt for each mousse. Choosing Greek or plain, light or whole, it’s your choice.

How many servings does it make?

This recipe makes eight 1/2-cup servings, but I often make it into four 1-cup servings with my guys.

Give yourself a break this holiday season with this incredibly easy, light, summery mousse.
