Sometimes Father’s Day can get lost between Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, graduations, the end of school — and the start of summer. But dads are special and deserve recognition on their special day.

When was the first Father’s Day?

The nation’s first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in my native state of Washington.

But it would take 58 years to become a nationally recognized day in 1972.

History.com says there are over 70 million dads in the U.S. WOW! Happy Father’s Day, dads.
