Strawberries are just coming into season from California in my markets. And I can’t seem to get enough of them. I find myself making this smoothie nearly every day!
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients
- Strawberries, either fresh or frozen
- Bananas for a rich and creamy texture
- Sweetener: An optional drizzle of honey is delicious when berries aren’t at optimal sweetness.
- Liquid: Most often, I use water for hydration, but you can also use dairy or nondairy milk of your preference.
Optionally, I like to add flax seeds or chia seeds for protein and additional fiber.
How to Serve a Strawberry Smoothie
This strawberry smoothie is best when it’s ice cold. To achieve this, you can either use frozen strawberries or add 8-10 ice cubes.
Servings
While this recipe is written for two servings, sometimes I can’t help myself and end up with a smoothie for one. It’s just too good!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup water or dairy or non-dairy milk like almond, coconut, soy
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt or Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds or chia seeds optional add in
- honey to sweeten as needed optional add in
Instructions
- Blend until completely smooth and serve immediately.
