A Peach Smoothie is an easy and delicious way to enjoy juicy, eat-over-the-sink peaches in season. They’re a healthier treat, naturally sweetened, and bursting with peach cobbler flavor in August. And if you’re craving summer flavors in the heart of winter, frozen peaches work, too!

What to Love About a Peach Smoothie
Almost every day, I reach for my blender and whip up a quick and easy smoothie in minutes. The flavors change depending on what I have in the fridge or freezer.
Coming home with a batch of local peaches from my market this week, I immediately began adding peaches to everything. And, of course, baking skillet peach cobbler and my husband’s favorite refrigerator peach jam. And a peach mug cake wasn’t far behind!
But when I want something healthy, refreshing, and super quick and easy, it’s smoothie time. And believe me, it’s a regular (maybe daily) occurrence! From my favorite oatmeal smoothie to other healthy fruit smoothies and peanut butter smoothies.
To me, this peach smoothie tastes as close as I can get to peach pie, in a healthy, 5-minute kind of way. Enjoy!
Peach Smoothie Ingredients
Here’s what you need:
- Peaches: You can use fresh ripe peaches (which I love in season) or frozen peaches, which will make a thicker smoothie. Both bring delicious sweet flavor!
- Bananas: Both fresh bananas and frozen banana slices add a healthy, natural sweetness to the smoothie, and frozen bananas help thicken it.
- Milk: This recipe works great with either dairy or non-dairy milk, like unsweetened almond milk. If you prefer, a splash of water instead of milk works fine, too.
- Nonfat Greek Yogurt: Yogurt is essential for a healthy, delicious, and creamy smoothie. It adds nourishing protein and probiotics, making it a great option for meals or snacks throughout the day.
- Honey: Honey’s added natural sweetness makes it the perfect complement to peaches, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Vanilla: Lends a decidedly warm peach pie flavor, elevating all the flavors.
- Cinnamon: The secret ingredient that makes this smoothie irresistible.
If you want to make a vegan peach smoothie, swap the Greek yogurt for a dairy-free Greek yogurt or simply add more non-dairy milk to the smoothie. I do suggest adding additional ice to thicken.
How to Make a Peach Smoothie
If you’re a frequent smoothie maker, you know how simple they are to make. This peach smoothie is no exception. Perfect for beginners or seasoned smoothie makers alike!
There are only two steps:
- Add ingredients to a blender
- Blend
For prep:
- Peaches: If using fresh peaches, peel and slice about half of a peach. If using frozen peach slices, toss them into the blender.
- Bananas: If using a fresh banana, peel and add to the blender in chunks. If using frozen banana slices, toss them into the blender.
Recommended Tools to Make this Recipe
- Blender: I do not have a high-powered blender, although it IS on my someday list. I use this quieter, economical blender daily, and it works beautifully for all the smoothies I love!

Yes, it is important to peel fresh peaches before making a smoothie; otherwise, the texture is isn’t optimal. You can also substitute frozen peaches for fresh peaches and skip the peeling.
You can use either fresh or frozen banana slices. I use both, often. Bananas add a healthy, natural sweetness to the smoothie. Using frozen bananas will help make the smoothie thicker.
