This recipe is portioned into two servings. (See calories and nutritional information below). But truth be told, it often becomes just one serving. I can easily drink the whole smoothie by myself.
A word of caution, however. Be careful– you just might become addicted to starting your morning with these healthy and energizing smoothies… every day!
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Seriously delicious and easy to whip up in the morning. Healthy ingredients in this smoothie bring Vitamin C, probiotics, protein, fiber, and so much more to your morning. While this makes 2 smoothies, I can drink the whole thing… easily!
- Yield: 2 smoothies 1x
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup milk (or almond, coconut, soy)
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds
Blend until completely smooth and serve immediately.
This strawberry smoothie is best ice cold. To achieve this, you need to either use frozen strawberries, or throw in 8-10 ice cubes. I’m not a huge fan of ice cubes so I almost always use frozen strawberries.
However, if you are going to use fresh strawberries (like I did this morning), then freeze the yogurt for about an hour before making the smoothie.
