Ingredients for Spinach Artichoke Dip

These ingredients are so simple and yet deliver the best spinach artichoke dip! If fact, your people are going to love this and will request it often– so keep these ingredients on hand!

  • Block cream cheese: cubed
  • Sour cream or plain Greek yogurt (I’m using Greek yogurt)
  • Minced garlic
  • Dried basil
  • Fresh spinach: Look for bagged baby spinach if possible to cut down on chopping prep
  • Canned artichoke hearts: Look for canned chopped artichoke hearts to eliminate any prep. Otherwise, you will need to chop the hearts or quartered hearts roughly.
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese for those delicious cheese pulls in every bite
  • Parmesan cheese for flavor
  • Fresh basil for serving (optional)

How to Make Crockpot Spinach Artichoke Dip

This crockpot party dip is so easy to make that it almost makes itself!

  1. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream (or Greek Yogurt), garlic, and dried basil in a bowl. Then fold in the spinach, artichokes, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan.
  2. Transfer to a small crockpot, cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour or on LOW for 2-3 hours, or just until the cheese is melted. Stir halfway through cooking time.
  3. Taste and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with pita, crackers, or chips.

What to Serve with This Dip

  • Baked pita chips
  • Tortilla chips
  • Crackers
  • Crostini (toasted baguette slices)

If you want to make crostini, slice a baguette into 1/2-inch rounds, brush with olive oil, and bake on a sheet pan at 400 degrees until golden brown.

What size crockpot are you using in this recipe?

A small crockpot works best in this recipe. In fact, a 3-quart crockpot is ideal!) I’m using my smaller 4.5 quart slow cooker which is the largest I would use.

Can I use frozen spinach in this recipe?

Absolutely! Use 10 ounces of frozen chopped spinach and let it thaw before using.

Storing Spinach Artichoke Dip

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. To reheat, gently microwave individual portions or return the leftovers to the crockpot until warmed through. I do not recommend freezing this dip, as it alters the texture.
