Teriyaki Chicken Ingredients

These simple ingredients may already be in your pantry. Here’s a list of what you need — the exact measurements are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Cooking oil
  • Cooked chicken: this is a perfect recipe for using leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken.
  • Ready-made teriyaki sauce
  • Honey
  • Spices: ground ginger and garlic powder
  • Instant brown rice
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Sliced almonds (optional — or sesame seeds)
  • Green onions for garnish

Ingredient Notes

Using a good quality teriyaki sauce is key. I have a couple of favorite brands I like to hand on hand for quick and easy meals.

Keeping teriyaki sauce on hand is also handy for marinading and basting meat. Or for a quick vegetable fried rice.

In fact, anytime I have leftover rice, I add whatever vegetables I have on hand, or even a bag of frozen peas and carrots, scramble an egg, and add a dash of teriyaki sauce. It’s so good!

Popular and highly rated brands of teriyaki sauce include Annie Chun’s Gourmet Teriyaki sauce and Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade and Sauce.
