- Fresh strawberries
- Rhubarb
- Granulated sugar
- Lemon juice and zest
- Cornstarch
- Butter
How to Make Strawberry Rhubarb Sauce
Add chopped strawberries, rhubarb, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, cornstarch, salt, and butter into a medium-size pan. Stir to combine and heat over medium to medium-high heat.
Bring the strawberries and rhubarb to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened and the rhubarb is soft; 15 to 20 minutes.

Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberries about 2 cups, chopped
- 1 lb rhubarb about 2 cups, chopped in 1/2-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Add chopped strawberries, rhubarb, sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, cornstarch, salt, and butter into a medium-size pan. Stir to combine and heat over medium to medium-high heat.
- Bring the strawberries and rhubarb to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened and the rhubarb is soft; 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and cool.
