Fall is a glorious and incredible season of beauty, flavor, and cozy vibes. When the leaves on the giant Ash tree in my yard begin to shimmer with golden leaves, warmly spiced lattes are not far from my mind.

From Pumpkin Spice Lattes to Maple Cinnamon Lattes and even mulled cider and autumn teas. All have their own place during the season.

And while I’m sipping my latte and enjoying a warm-from-the-oven scone, I remember all over again what a spectacular time of the year it is.

And this Starbuck’s copycat recipe is a simple-to-make, easy way to celebrate the season.

While I’ll never turn down a treat at my favorite coffee shop, it’s pretty wonderful to know I can make a similar cup of warm deliciousness at home whenever a craving hits.

What is a Cinnamon Dolce Latte?

“Dolce” is Italian for “sweet,” literally translated to sweet cinnamon. And when sweet cinnamon is warmed and served with espresso and steamed frothed milk, it’s obviously rather divine!

Most flavored lattes begin with sweetened syrup, which you can make ahead and store in the refrigerator. Or even buy ready-made at the market. This recipe, however, is unique in that it doesn’t require syrup at all.

It’s a quick and easy, simplified version of the coffee shop favorite. Complete with cinnamon-dusted steamed milk for a beautiful treat.

Starbucks Tips for Making a Latte at Home

If you want to make at latte at home that resembles a Starbucks’ latte, here are some simple tips from the iconic coffee maker:

  1. Prepare espresso shot and pour into a mug. You don’t have to have an espresso machine to make it at home. A stovetop Moka pot works equally well as does an espresso pod. If you’re grinding your beans, be sure to use an extra fine size.
  2. Stir in flavoring and sweetener.
  3. Steam and froth milk in a separate container until you have a light layer of foam. If you don’t have a milk frother, learn how to manually froth milk through this milk frothing guide.
