When is Chocolate Bark Perfect?

It’s perfect for Fridays.

Or Saturdays.

Or the holidays… and they make fabulous gifts for any occasion!

Minutes in the making with just a few simple ingredients.

And who doesn’t love peanut butter swirled through rich dark chocolate and seasoned with a sprinkling of sea salt? A smattering of mini pretzels gives it a satisfying crunch.

Of course, the most important element of this bark is the chocolate. Use great quality chocolate. Truly.

You can make this recipe super quick by melting dark chocolate chips in the microwave. And it will work. But if you’re willing to take it one step further and melt the chocolate slowly over a double boiler, you will be rewarded with an extra-fine, great-textured candy. The bark will snap instead of crumble.

How simple is this chocolate bark recipe?

It’s as simple as placing a heatproof bowl snugly over a saucepan with a little water in the bottom. Bring the water to a gentle simmer, then lower the heat, allowing the chocolate to begin melting. Stir with a spoon or spatula until it’s smooth and completely melted.
