3 Simple Homemade Mason Jar Food Gift Ideas
Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix: A fun and festive gift that’s easy to make in minutes with three ingredients you likely have on hand. Gift tags include both options: added dairy or added water. For friends with dairy allergies, I would suggest the three-ingredient blend that lets them add their milk of choice. Look for the note at the top of the printable to find the appropriate tag for your gift.
Homemade Granola: One of the most popular holiday gifts is a batch of homemade granola or one of your favorite granola brands repackaged and personalized with a gift tag. For homemade granola, here are some of my favorite recipes:
- Christmas Granola
- Healthy Granola Recipe
- Toasted Cranberry Granola
- Easy and Healthy Breakfast Granola
On the printable gift tag, I’ve left space to write a special message or include a list of granola ingredients.

Homemade Brownie Mix: This easy-to-make brownie mix is a recipe I’ve adapted from our all-time favorite Fudgy Cakey Family Size Brownies Recipe. This recipe will bake in an 8 x 8-inch square pan. The printable gift tag gives the recipient the perishable ingredients to add and directions on making the brownies.
These brownies are rich and delicious… and super easy to make.

Gifting Mason Jar Food Gifts
I have packaged these gifts using gable boxes I picked up at Hobby Lobby. Amazon also carries both plain gable boxes that you can decorate with ribbon and tags for different occasions, or holiday gable boxes for Christmas.
Use scrunched tissue paper in the bottom to help cushion your mason jar and top with shredded paper for an elegant presentation. For holidays, it’s fun to use festive colors, like this Red and Green Christmas crinkle paper, or a neutral color for year-round gifting.
Tie a pretty and festive ribbon around your package, any faux greenery you want to use, and a gift tag! An unforgettable, thoughtful, much-appreciated gift… in minutes!
