The moment I begin thinking about fall, I’m on the lookout for a fresh batch of candy corn. It’s a family tradition, candy corn that is—and they love them!
When you pair sweet candy corn with salty pretzels and melty chocolate, it’s a heavenly and delicious combination, much like my have-to-have-every-autumn 5 Minute Fall Crack (aka Fall Snack Chex Mix)—for every football game, Halloween party, and Thanksgiving.
While thinking about sweet and salty treats, and with an abundance of candy corn in the pantry, these quick candy corn pretzel bites became a fun “baking” project with the kids. They’re easy to make in minutes and keep well for quick, sweet snacks!

Ingredients for Candy Corn Pretzel Bites
Here’s what you need for this quick treat:
- Mini Pretzels: I love the square ones!
- Hershey Kiss Hugs
- Candy Corn
About those kisses: I love the black-and-white stripe on the Hugs for Halloween, but you can use whichever Hershey’s Kisses flavor you like!
How to Make Candy Corn Pretzel Bites
This recipe is so quick and easy that it moves quickly. I like to have all three ingredients prepped and ready before beginning.
What kind of prep is involved? Unwrapping the kisses and lining a baking sheet with parchment, just in case there is any melty chocolate. It saves on cleanup.
Here’s how to make them:
Preheat the oven to 250℉.

- Place pretzels on the baking sheet and place one Hug on each pretzel. Bake for 3-4 minutes or until they begin to melt.
- Remove from the oven and quickly but gently press the candy corn down onto each soft Hug. I
- Let the pretzel bites cool completely before serving. To speed up the hardening of the chocolate, you can refrigerate them for about 10 minutes.
Quick Tips
- Have the kisses unwrapped before baking and the candy corn nearby. Once the chocolate pretzels come out of the oven, it’s important to work quickly.
- To speed up the cooling process, refrigerate them for a few minutes.

Halloween Serving Ideas
For years, Halloween evening has transformed into a block party where neighbors visit while the kids scamper around. This means I’m also serving food for those wandering in and out of the house. Here are a few things I love to have ready.
- Chili: There is always a bowl of chili bubbling on the stove, whether it be 30-Minute Turkey Chili, white chicken chili, or vegetarian chili.
- Cornbread: In my book, it always belongs with chili!
- Veggies: Because I know the evening will be filled with candy, vegetables like celery, carrots, and broccoli is always on hand. I love to serve them with 2 Minute Greek Yogurt Sauce or pumpkin hummus.
- Treats: Spider cookies, monster cookies, Chocolate Swirl Pumpkin Bread, and apple dumplings are always favorites!
