Bright orbs of varying shades of crimson dot the landscape of apple orchards in Washington State, where I live. That’s when I know that a delicious season is near.

Perhaps there is no better way to celebrate apple season than with an apple pie, but for me, a Slow Cooker Apple Crisp is a fall favorite, as is the ultimate in apple preserves, Slow Cooker Apple Butter.

And while we often think about sweet treat recipes using apples, like Cast Iron Irish Apple Cake, savory options are just as delicious!
